varnishncsa of backend requests (changeset 4480)

Hi,

Since http://varnish-cache.org/changeset/4480, we've lost the ability to 
view backend requests in varnishncsa.

Is there a recommended work around?  Can varnishlog be coaxed into 
spitting out similar information, or is there another solution?
