Comment:

 This is a varnishlog problem: it needs to compiled with LFS support to be
 able to deal with files >2^31 bits.

 http://www.suse.de/~aj/linux_lfs.html has some useful information. If I
 remember correctly there are standard macros for autoconf to test for LFS
 support.
