Comment:

 I would like to reopen this ticket. On odd keyboards/OSes/character maps,
 it can be hard to produce the escape character needed for telnet to close
 the connection. If we had a quit/exit command, it would be much much
 easier. Its nice to be able to exit the telnet connection without losing
 the terminal/login....
