 This bug is also present in trunk R3355 (and most likely up to R3357 which
 is the latest release at this post, and has only had superficial man page
 updates since R3355).

 Swapping the order of the backends works as expected, its always the
 second in the list that doesn't work.

 I'll do some more testing today to see if tertiary (aka third) backend's
 get used.
