 I'm not 100% sure it's related, but after I applied the 'noreuse' patch I
 still had some 'Backend Connection Failures' reported in varnishstat.

 It's harder to reproduce but it seemed like Varnish was not getting as far
 as sending anything to the backend.

 More testing, trial and error lead me to disable the call to TCP_Connect()
 (see notimeouts patch) and combined with the noreuse patch it's eliminated
 the connection failures in my environment.
