Comment:

I am experiencing this as well with varnish 2.0.5.

It's not happening all the time, though. Sometimes, varnishtop runs fine
until I quit. But other times it freezes after zero or one updates (either
nothing happens, or I get one update. I have not gotten more than one
update when this happens), using 100% CPU. It has to be kill(1)ed, after
which the terminal needs to be reset in order to echo properly (which may
suggest that some screen-updating-loop is running indefinitely for some
reason, leaving the terminal in a weird state when killed).

It seems pretty random. I have experienced several freezes in a row, or
none for several runs and everything in between.

 A race, perhaps?

I am running this on Linux 2.6.18-6-vserver-amd64 (it's a virtual server,
yes, running on a Debian physical amd64).
