 I deliberately did not do this, but mostly because I had no idea what the
 correct behaviour should really be.

 Instead I made it possible to customize the entire request in the backend
 poll declaration (.request = "GET /foo...").

 If clearly marking the polls as coming from Varnish is a desirable
 default, then we should apply your patch, but I want to hear some feedback
 on that first...
