Comment:

 The new allocation policy for objects, forced on us by the persistent
 stevedore, makes it impossible to change objects headers once they are
 created.

 In response to this, we have made a number of changes to the VCL,
 including the move in vcl_fetch from obj.* to beresp.*.

 In this light, this ticket is now invalid, in the sense that it has been
 overtaken by events.
