 There is a typo in the varnish command line, I cut & paste the bad one.
 The good ones are

 varnishd -a :9000  -f /tmp/test.vcl -n /tmp
 varnishd -a :9000  -f /tmp/test.vcl -n /tmp -p default_grace=0
 }}}
