Comment:

 Sorry for taking so long in replying to this, but I have absolutely no
 idea where the SIGINTs come from and thus have very little to add.

 My best guess is that your kernel might be running out of something (VM?)
 and tries to kill the process which looks like it is hogging this
 resource.
