Comment:

 First: apologies for this ticket not being acted on sooner.

 I think this is a case of getting confused by "hit for pass", but given
 the incomplete and slightly self-contradictory information in the ticket,
 I cannot verify that hypothesis.

 I will close this ticket for now, if you can still reproduce this with
 -trunk, feel free to reopen, but please include complete vcl and
 varnishlog output.
