Comment(by scoof):

 varnishstat is able to parse commas and parenthesis properly if you quote
 them:
 '"VBE.default(127.0.0.1,,8080).vcls"'

 But this doesn't solve the issue, since it splits the name into
 class/ident/name on . (vsc_sf_arg in lib/libvarnishapi/vsc.c)
