Comment:

 Please post varnishlog data for the 10M download. And check syslog for
 assert errors.

 For the 10GB, you will need to instruct varnish not to cache, otherwise it
 wont work since you only have 1GB of cache.

 Posting VCL might help, and trying with Varnish 3.0.2. We also need
 varnishstat -1 output for bost cases.
