 Hello the remote varnishadm client did not match the server version by
 mistake. Remote was using Debian default v2 instead of varnish project v3
 packages. Version 3.0.2 of the client was installed and has no problem
 receiving a lot of output from the server.

 I didn't do any further param changes after initial report, and upgrade...
 in case someone gets this as a search results in the future.
