 Hi,

 Yeah, that is correctly understood that we don't plan on fixing this for
 Varnish 3.

 Varnish 4 will see a tech preview release todayish, with 4.0 released the
 docs are ready and some real life testing has been done and the bugs
 ironed out.

 For the grep workaround, remember that there is an 'unbuffered' option to
 varnishlog, which will fix the delay problem.
