 such fundamental issues seem to support this hypothesis. Do you have any
 additional insight on these or do you have made progress on either
 avoiding to run into these issues or being able to reproduce them?

 Sorry, I'm on parental leave right now so progress has been "kind of
 slow". There could of course be some outside factor but don't really know
 what that would be as the same servers ran Varnish 3 without any problems.
 Will see if I find some time to try things out in the coming month(s).
