Not sure, I think this is how it was before, but we might want to change our mind.

More interesting question: Does esi really work with these changes, even if the
backend responds with CE: gzip? Or do we maybe want to disable gzip if esi and
! cache_param->http_gzip_support?

Need to invest more time. This regression is much more severe than I thought,
apologies again.
