Log Question

Is there a way to get varnish to output (to a file) apache like logs.

I looked at:
http://linux.die.net/man/1/varnishlog

I ran varnishlog -w /path/to/filename -D

I am unable to tail the file as it has charactores in it that cause my
console to beep and display marks. If I run varnishlog without the args, I
get way more info that I want.

I would be very happy with
src_ip path_requested

I would be even happier if it could tell me if it was a hit or miss.

Thanks,
Jack
