ESI and clients HTTP/1.0

Hi all.

Is there any manner to avoid Transfer-Encoding: chunked in responses
of ESI pages to HTTP/1.0 clients.

According to RFC:

14.41 Transfer-Encoding
...
   Many older HTTP/1.0 applications do not understand the Transfer-
   Encoding header.

We have several issues with Squid2.5.x proxys (not newer versions).
Unfortunately, this branch is still very commonly in productions
environments.
