Huge file cache size even though command line specifies 5G?

Hello. Any idea why Varnish would create a huge 145GB file when I'm asking
it to use only 5GB?

The command line is below, and the listing of the file directory is under
it. Any thoughts?

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

/usr/sbin/varnishd -P /var/run/varnish.pid -a :25000 -T :6096 -p
thread_pools 2 -p thread_pool_max 4000 -p thread_pool_min 400 -p
thread_pool_add_delay 2ms -p session_linger 50 -f /etc/varnish/evri.vcl -u
varnish -g varnish -h classic -s file,/var/lib/varnish/datafile.bin,5G

ls -l /var/lib/varnish/
total 25284032
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Sep 23 23:13 df8-29
-rw------- 1 root root 145840627712 Sep 23 23:45 datafile.bin
