F5 loadbalancer between varnish and web servers

Firstly, you cannot terminate ssl connections with varnish.  You need
to consider using a web server or ssl wrapper like stunnel/pound/etc.

You don't need to explicitly forward anything.  Your modifications of
the header will be seen by the receiving device.
