Error 413 Request Entity Too Large

This usually happens because your Cookie header has gotten out of hand. You can configure varnishd and tell it to allow a larger header: http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/precise/man1/varnishd.1.html look at http_req_hdr_len.
