Varnish threads growing until no response

unfortunately this setting did not fix the problem. Again the Thread-Count did rise up very fast (within 30 seconds +40 threads). Varnish is restarted by a script before we hit 2000 threads and the script dumps varnishstat -1. At that time:

MAIN.threads                    441          .   Total number of threads
MAIN.threads_created            441         0.00 Threads created
MAIN.sess_queued                439         0.00 Sessions queued for thread

sess_queued is normally 0 … only during the „pike“ it rises up.

It seems something is blocking. How can I debug this further?
