Accelerating wordpress site

Thanks a lot.  Stupid me, I never thought it could be link not found.

Are you saying that even after I remove link not found I would see a
tremendous improvement in how fast the page is brought up?

Could you elaborate on the cookie part. Keep in mind, I am using wordpress
cms.  Would you have any info on how to do this?
