varnish 3 - thread_pools

I think someone recently commented that 2 thread pools is the ideal value. Anymore and you don’t see a performance increase.

Hi,

By the book, the thread_pools should be 2. However the server is multi-processed(8 cpus) and can handle more thread_pools.
This server handles more than 5000 requests/sec.

Is it a good ideia increasing the thread_pools to 8 and decreasing the thread_pool_max?
