 Sorry, the first compile issue is solved by the additional include to get
 the mmap family of system calls.  Here's a link to the man page:
 http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/man.cgi?query=mmap  Both includes are
 required.

 As for defining NAN, I recursively grepped my /usr/include directory on
 down and didn't find NAN anywhere including in math.h.  A bit stumped on
 this one...
