 This is a bit of an old version - can you test with Varnish 2.1.3?

 By the looks of it, you're running out of space in a bad way. I would
 guess that the .zip is potentially "large"? Varnish does about 50 attempts
 of lru before it fails hard (like you just noticed), and that may or may
 not have been what you experienced.

 So I suggest you try with Varnish 2.1.3 and add any startup parameters and
 output of varnishstat -1 if we're to look into this further.
