 Ok. I have no idea how to further debug this. Looks like read() triggers
 dynamic DLL call which causes the malloc.

 Was libdl before operating without a malloc call? Looks like it is
 wrapping all calls to

 Is it an error condition causing this malloc call?

 Is it possible to statically link against libc to avoid dynamic DLL load
 for read.
