 Thanks for reporting this.

 I've removed -n from the makefile for now.
 When I first had a look at this, I started digging into the RST to get
 these includes working properly. I redid them on a computer with more
 recent sphinx-build on, a couple of months back.

 This works just fine on EL7, which has a newer sphinx-build.

 We define "supported platform" as a platform where the tarball release
 builds and runs. We don't necessarily support building from git on all
 platforms. EL5 have had this state for a few years now, automake there is
 too old.

 Which is why I'm leaning torwards closing this as wontfix.

 Can you show me a use-case where building from tarball isn't good enough
 for EL6?
