varnish + GSLB

Hello again,
did somebody ever thought of using Varnish in several locations for one domain,
using a DNS Global Server Load Balancer to route requests to the
appropriate Varnish Cache.
I'm thinking about the opportunity to write such a GSLB if it doesn't
exist. 
One idea could be to add into future releases of Varnish some 
management agents that could be queried by this GSLB to help in
routing requests accordingly.
