Crazy value for sms_nbytes in varnish 2.1

Hey guys,

We're running varnish 2.1 in two 64bit linux servers with 17Gb of ram.
Here's the config we use:

varnishd -P /var/run/varnishd.pid -a 0.0.0.0:2000 -T 127.0.0.1:6082 -w
200,2000 -s malloc,12G -p lru_interval=20 -f /etc/varnish/varnish.vcl

Suddenly the value of sms_nbytes in one of those went from 0 to
18446744073709550272. What does that mean?
Other than that everything seems to be normal.
