Strange Broken Pipe error from Varnish health checks

Below is the probe "health", I forgot to send it the first time:
probe health {
                   .url = "/varnish_check";
                   .timeout = 2s;
                .interval = 5s;
                .window = 3;
                .threshold = 2;
      }
